Is Hillary Clinton really the most electable candidate?

Certain supporters of Hillary Clinton are making a lot of attacks on Bernie Sanders. Many of them are just too ridiculous to waste time and energy on, like the accusations that Bernie is bad on race issues. Yeah. The guy who worked as an organizer in the Civil Rights Movement and supported LGBT rights back when being gay was a criminal offense.

But one attack that seems to be made over and over lately is the idea that Bernie Sanders is unelectable. Why would he be unelectable? Maybe because he Doesn't Get Race, or that he's a (gasp) socialist, or that he's got funny hair.

But Hillary Clinton, and the Very Serious crowd that frequents the Beltway is desperately trying to push the narrative that Hillary Clinton is the Serious Candidate™, and that Bernie Sanders is the Radical Hippy Fringe Candidate, even though Bernie's views match more closely with the American public and the Democratic base. The Serious Narrative says that Hillary's the only candidate that can get votes from the Very Serious American Voters, and therefore, we must nominate her this primary season, and not Bernie. Because only Hillary can defeat the GOP this November, and Bernie doesn't stand a chance.

I wouldn't be talking if I were a Hillary supporter. Because you know what Hillary reminds me of? John Kerry, circa 2004. If Hillary gets the nomination, I'm not entirely sure she's guaranteed to get the win in November.
