I’ll save the guilty some undeserved honor, and not name names, or the campaign or campaigns they support.
But I’m fed up and have to rant.
It seems every day in this primary season, I’ve seen unwarranted accusations of racism or misogyny by certain people. Some of them here in Kos, but also on the news — campaign surrogates accusing people of being racist, sexist shitlords because they support the Other Candidate.
We’ve got plenty of real racism, misogyny, homophobia, and other forms of prejudice and hate to worry about.
It demeans those at the receiving end of such hate to use an unfounded accusation of bigotry as a political weapon.
It makes it that much harder for those hit by the real thing to speak up and get support when people are crying wolf.
It needs to stop.
Knock this shit off. It’s unbecoming to progressives, and it’s unbecoming to the Democratic Party. If you have to stoop to this shit to win an election, you don’t deserve to win.
